Having been a group fitness instructor for over 20 years, Rita naturally continued her journey in 2023 by earning her ISSA Personal Training Certification to further help people with their health. During her 40s, she underwent physical therapy for a spinal injury that abruptly ended her participation in USTA women's and mixed doubles tennis and halted her exercise classes.
After an additional five years recovering from Lyme Disease, Rita understands the challenges of losing the ability to perform everyday activities we often take for granted. Now, she teaches 8 hours of exercise classes weekly, has lost 15 pounds due to perimenopause, and plays tennis regularly. Her inspiration and passion come from the women she sees in her classes, on the tennis courts and at the club.
Sharing her knowledge and life experiences about health, lifestyle, nutrition, and workouts at this stage of her life brings her immense joy. She loves making a difference by listening to other women’s stories and helping them achieve their goals on their health journeys.
She is currently studying to get her ISSA Nutrition Certification.
