Please read the information below so that your first visit back to Sportsplex is as smooth as possible. 

We at Sportsplex are committed to keeping you healthy and safe while you are at our Club. Below we will be discussing some changes we have made, as well as new policies and procedures that are now in effect.

SPX Forward Safety Protocols

Travel Advisory

  • Please be advised if you have traveled to any of the following states, we ask that you do not come to Sportsplex until after you complete a 14 day quarantine:

Building Capacity

  • Sportsplex can operate at 33% of our normal capacity, which equals no more than 304 people.

Masks

  • Masks must be worn from the moment you enter the club to the moment you exit. Due to safety regulations, you cannot enter the building if you do not have a mask. All members will be offered 1 complimentary mask if you forget to bring your own. After you’ve received your complimentary masks, further masks will cost $1.

Cleaning and Sanitation

  • All Equipment in every department must be sanitized before and after each use. This includes but is not limited to: All Cardio Equipment, Weight Benches, Free Weights, and all Group Exercise Equipment. We have made additional cleaning products available throughout the club.
  • We’ve installed additional Hand and Equipment Sanitizing Stations throughout the Club, and we ask our members to use them regularly and throughout their visit to the Club.

Social Distancing

  • All members and employees must maintain their 6 foot distance while they are at the club. This covers all areas of the premises. While equipment has been moved to account for the needed spacing, please be aware of your space in the more congested areas of the club.

Personal Equipment

  • During this time, Sportsplex will not be providing any personal yoga/exercise mats. Please bring your own to the club if you need one for your workout or class.

The Locker Rooms

  • The Steam Rooms are unavailable until further notice.
  • Blow Dryers are unavailable until further notice.

Water Fountains

  • The water fountains are currently unavailable, however the water bottle refill station may be used.

Air Handling (HVAC)

  • The state has required that all gyms should operate with MERV-13 air filters or better. Sportsplex has installed MERV-13 filers.

Inspection

  • Local health departments will be inspecting the club within 2 weeks of opening to ensure compliance.

Health & Safety Code of Conduct

  • All members and staff will be required to sign and follow an updated Code of Conduct while using the club. You can find the updated Code of Conduct here.

Club Hours

  • Monday – Friday: 5:30am to 10:00pm
  • Saturday& Sunday: 7:00am-7:00pm

Basketball

  • The basketball court is unavailable for basketball until further notice.

 

 

Children’s Programming

  • Fall Pre-K and the Tots program are scheduled to run in the Fall as normal.
  • As of 11/1/20 Nursery Services are available again!
    • Monday-Friday: 9:00am to 10:15am/10:30am-11:30am
    • Monday-Thursday: 5:00pm-6:15pm/6:30pm-7:30pm
    • The nursery requires preregistration through the SPX App
  • Birthday Party services are available. Please contact Danielle for more information.

The Sportsplex App

 

      • The SPX App can be used for the following tasks:

        • Registering from Group Exercise Classes

        • Reserving Tennis Courts (w/ a Tennis Membership)

        • Reserving Lap Swim Lanes

        • Reserving space in Family Swim

        • and it can serve as your scan tag!

Your Check-In Experience

 

  • You must wear a mask to enter Sportsplex.
  • All Members must have either their Scan Tag or SPX App to enter the building. You can request a replacement tag by contacting MCastillo@Sportsplex-nw.com. Please note only one scan tag can be assigned to a member at one time.
  • On first check in, you must update all of your personal information and your profile picture at the front desk.
  • We’ve shifted the lobby to create 3 Check In Stations, as well as a new Help Desk which can assist our members with class and court reservations.
  • Upon entry, you must complete a health assessment at the front desk to utilize the club.
  • The Tennis Schedule is now available for viewing on a TV as you walk up to the Cafe.
  • To protect ourselves, and the enviroment, we have converted most of our flyers into QR Codes that can be scanned with your phone to eliminate unnecessary paper.

The Weight and Cardio Floor

 

  • Several pieces of equipment in the weight room have been moved to storage so we can space out the equipment for social distancing.
  • All equipment in the free weight area has been spaced 6-8 feet apart.
  • We ask that our members do not move the weight benches out of their assigned area. If one must be moved, we expect that it will be moved back to its original location.
  • In the Cardio Area, every other piece of equipment has been marked as unavailable for use.
  • The stretching mats have been isolated to create more space between the mats.

Personal Training

  • Personal Training will be available upon reopening.

Small Group Training

  • Small Group Training is currently forming groups for morning and evening sessions.
  • To register for Small Group, contact FitnessDirector@Sportsplex-nw.com.

Group Exercise Classes

  • Click here for the current schedule.
  • All Group Exercise classes require a pre-registration through either the SPX App (available on your phone’s app store) or through the Member Portal of Sportsplex’s website. Please watch the video in the “SPX App” tab for a walk-through on enrolling for classes.
  • Classes can be registered 23 hours in advance.
  • Group Exercise classes now have a maximum capacity per class to maintain social distancing.
  • We are currently unable to provide yoga mats, blankets, or bolsters. Please bring your own if you need to use it for your class or workout.

The Aquatics Center

 

  • The pool will be available indoors starting Wednesday, September 16th.
  • The pool is currently available for Lap Swim, Water Exercise, and Family Swim Reservations. Reservations can be completed on the SPX App or the Membership Portal.
  • During Lap Swim, no more than two swimmers can be in one lane.
  • Click here for the current pool schedule.
  • Masks are required while entering and exiting the pool deck, and whenever social distancing cannot be maintained.
  • Please refrain from moving any of the deck chairs.
  • No coolers or glass containers are permitted on the pool deck at any time.
  • No outside flotation devices can be used in the pool.

Tennis Courts

 

  • You must be a member to utilize Tennis Courts. Non-Member Guests are not permitted at this time.
  • The Courts are available for members to reserve through the Sportsplex App or Member Portal on our website.
    • Reservations can be made up to 6 days in advance.
    • Courts Fees are $10 per 60 minutes, $15 per 90 minutes.
      • Cancellation Policy: There are no fees for changing a reservations prior to 24 hours of originally scheduled time. Cancellations made within 24 hours will be charged and will not be refunded.
    • Singles or Doubles play is permitted.
    • Members should allow players on court to exit the area before entering the court.
  • Tennis Balls, Racket Stringing, and Water are available.

Membership Billing

  • Membership billing will be activated on September 1st, 2020, and auto charged on September 5th, 2020. In order to not be charged, you must either cancel your membership, or place your account on a vacation freeze.
  • The vacation freeze cost is $20 for 1 adult, and $30 for 2 adults.
  • Please email the billing department at admin@sportsplex-nw with any questions.
